Just in time for Christmas JLR has announced an “ultra-versatile” version of the Disco in the UK market. The new 2018 Land Rover Discovery Commercial is the ideal car to carry lots of boxes of presents, or tow a huge Xmas tree. The only problem the car won’t be released until the second quarter of next year.  But they, that gives you an excuse not to get a tree this year, and limit the presents to small, cheap items. What are yo gonna do, your regular Discovery does not enough room! You can promise your kids next year you will get the Land Rover Discovery Commercial which has up to 1,856 litres of flexible load space and can tow up to legal UK limit of 3.5 tonnes. The 2018 Aston Martin DB11 Volante gets a new V8 engine instead of the big V12. But this engine is perfect for the roadster.  The new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine develops 510 horsepower in the Aston Martin DB11 Volante, as it does in the AMG GT S from which it is borrowed. That is plenty good enough for an open-top gran tourer because this is not a car build for race track or a fast trek through twisty b-roads. Not sure why Aston chose the very depth of this icy winter to announce the launch of a new drop-top model, but anyway, the Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante is now available for those who are not satisfied with the ordinary version of the car. As the open-top version of the Vanquish S, revealed late last year, the Volante comes with all the options and bespoke packages the Q department has to offer for this car. But before we get to those let’s first see what makes the ‘S’ different than normal VanQs. First and foremost, the car gets an uprated 6.0 V12 engine producing 603 PS, probably the last application of Aston’s super old engine, which gives the Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante a top speed of 201mph and a 0-62mph (0-100km/h) time of 3.5 seconds, there and thereabout. This Silica White McLaren 675LT Spider proves that you don’t have to go crazy with colors to end up with a unique and beautiful machine. It also proves that the LongTail is a natural beauty and does not depend on colors and mascara to become attractive. If anything, the makeup kind of ruins it, as we saw with this fairly ridiculous green and yellow MSO HS 688 model.
