If you fancy yourself a bit of Sir Elton John action, there are a bunch of ways you can indulge in that lifestyle. But you wouldn’t think, would you, that one of those ways has to do with cars. This handsome car you see here is Sir Elton’s 1997 Aston Martin Vantage V8, and it’s up for grabs.  Set to go under the hammer at the Silverstone Auctions Race Retro Classic Car Sale on the 24th and 25th February, Elton John’s 1997 Aston Martin Vantage is a V550 version in black with a black leather interior. Apparently, the Rocket Man had better things to do than drive this car though, as it only has 8,663 miles on the clock. Granted, Elton is one of the previous owners. But those who got the car after him knew that some say the celebrity connection would fetch them big bucks and so they kept the car in min condition. According to the auctioneer, the Vantage still has its new car smell. This generation of the V8 Vantage is one of the most iconic cars Aston has ever built. Prestigious British exotic and classic car dealer, Hexagon, is offering something so unique, it is guaranteed to make classic car lovers whimper with excitement! Once a demonstrator, this 1959 Aston Martin DB4 has been converted to run on a Vantage triple Weber carb system and boasts a 5-speed gearbox. The wider wire wheels sit inside especially modified fenders and provide more grip than any standard DB4. So to drive this little piece of Aston history is a pretty delightful car. But the main joy is owning this gem is ogling it. Finished in unique Blu Scozia with re-trimmed leather interior, the car is the quintessential vintage British sports car. With the world premiere of the all-new 2019 Mercedes G-Class set for the Detroit Auto Show in January, the German automaker is giving us a Christmas treat. They have released a bunch of photos completely revealing the SUV’s interior design. And it’s a fine blend of old and new, incorporating the current design themes of Mercedes-Benz into the unique shape of the G-Wagen‘s upright dashboard.  To be honest an upgrade to the big G’s cabin was long overdue. They did give it a new steering or a fancy screen now and then, but the overhaul that comes with the 2019 Mercedes G-Class is a real improvement in terms of design and ergonomics. There is more space in the new cabin, more luxury and comfort features, and fewer sharp edges that could seriously hurt you in the event of an accident. The main highlights include a new dashboard, instrument panel and center console in line with other Mercedes products of this era, plus new steering wheel, infotainment screen and seats. The iconic features, such as the grab handle in front of the passenger or the chrome-highlighted switches for the differential locks have been preserved. Just out of the blue Mercedes-Benz decided to release the first official photos of the 2018 Mercedes A-Class after a preview event in Germany. These photos, mind, show only the interior of the new premium hatchback. But at least they reveal the interior in full. The drop-top version of the drop-dead gorgeous DB11 goes official, introducing the charms of alfresco motoring to the super GT’s magnificent blend of sensuality and performance. The 2018 Aston Martin DB11 Volante gets a new V8 engine instead of the big V12. But this engine is perfect for the roadster.  The new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine develops 510 horsepower in the Aston Martin DB11 Volante, as it does in the AMG GT S from which it is borrowed. That is plenty good enough for an open-top gran tourer because this is not a car build for race track or a fast trek through twisty b-roads. This car is built for cruising, and a smooth and sweet-sounding V8 like this unit is just perfect. You can still enjoy bouts of spirited driving though, as DB11 Volante comes with three driving modes. They alter the feel of driving by changing the settings of 8-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission, electric power steering and limited-slip differential.
