Hamann is taking their sweet time over developing the promised aero kit for the BMW M2 but it seems the bugger is finally ready to take the tuning scene by storm. These are the first photos of Hamann BMW M2 sporting the body kit they first announced last year, and it’s looking somewhat peculiar. Maybe that’s because this particular Hamann BMW M2 uses white aero parts on a white body and that is making the whole thing look kinda fat. But Hamann has to do a lot better with the finished product if they want to have something to say against the truly amazing kits that are in the pipeline for the M2. What they are proposing at this stage incudes a rather massive front spoiler lip that sits on the stock front bumper and gives it more girth, a pair of side skirts, and, one would imagine, a rear diffuser along with some kind of rear boot spoiler. If you are a delivery van who is always late to work, do not blame yourself. You are driving a van, and those things are awfully slow. What you need is a tuned van with a good tu of speed so you can fly between places in no time. What you need is this B&B VW T6. German tuner B&B Automobiltechnik GmbH was obviously aware of the problems van drivers face on a daily basis. So they took in this VW T6, already a fast car by van standards packing a 204 horsepower petrol engine which can propel the vehicle to 100 km/h from 0 in about ten seconds, and basically just doubled its power output. That’s right, at 400 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque B&B VW T6 is about as powerful as a Porsche Carrera S. The van is also pretty quick, making 100 km/h from standing still in 5.8 seconds now, topping out at 230 km/h. So you will have no excuse showing up late at work. Granted, there is no way the new Top Gear is going to be better, funnier or more entertaining than the old one, and yes, it is going to be crushed by the Grand Tour. But if you just watch these shows for the sake of the cars, the new TG is going to set your pants on fire. The new TG team has put together some properly hot cars for the debut season driven in some exotic places from Morocco, to Abu Dhabi, to West Coast America. You’ll get reviews of the latest Ferraris, a test of Aston Martin Vulcan, the new Mustang GT is there as is the Hoonico Mustang, Ariel Nomad, Rolls-Royce Wraith, Audi R8, and… [embedded content] The show will also include the same sort of cheap car challenges and races in which they pit a car against something that isn’t a car but has a real chance of beating the car. These, we reckon, will be the part where the new Top Gear will blow it. Such challenges aren’t fun in themselves. It was the charm of Clarkson, Hammond and May’s characters that made them watchable. And we’re not sure we will get the same from Evans, LeBlanc, Schmitz, Harris, and the other two whose names escape us. The new Top Gear will hit the airwaves on May 29, 2016.
