As much as cars and the technologies integrated into them have changed over the past 100 years, the things that have to do with their maintenance and upkeep have not. It does not come as a surprise that the 2019 Corvette ZR1 in its first track outing has done an amazing thing. After all, this is a 755 horsepower supercar. It would have been a surprise if the car had gone around the Virginia Inteational Raceway circuit not having set new lap record. The time in which 2019 Corvette ZR1 completed a lap of the 4.1-mile Grand Course West at Virginia Inteational Raceway was 2:37.25 which is a new record for production cars at this circuit. The car was in stock form save some necessary safety equipment such as  haess bar and track seats with five-point haesses. It relied for this record on its 755hp and 969Nm LT5 6.2L supercharged engine, its carbon fiber aero kit including an adjustable High Wing, sport suspension and brakes including Magnetic Ride Control tuning, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 summer tires. [embedded content] It is amazing that a car with such power and performance, which is on the par with some hypercars out there, costs from $119,995. Ordered by McLaren Newport Beach, US market’s largest McLaren retailer, the 10 McLaren MSO X models have been delivered to their buyers in Las Vegas. Created by McLaren Special Operations unit to emulate the spirit of the 570S GT4 race car, the X bunch come with liveries inspired by McLaren F1 GTR race car of the 90s. Now, normally it would be really uncool to have your car painted in motorsport liveries if you don’t want to use it exclusively on the race track. But in the case of the McLaren MSO X that’s alright because of the prestigious badge of the car. Granted, you still have to explain to people what those graphics on the exterior mean and by which legendary endurance racer they are inspired. But the buyers of the X are going to get plenty of admiring nods from car geeks on the street. Besides the racing look, McLaren MSO X models also get a GT4-based get a pylon-mounted rear wing with nearly 100kg of extra downforce, functional ‘goose neck’ carbon fibre roof snorkel borrowed from the F1 LongTail, front dive planes, an MSO Titanium Super Sports Exhaust, Pirelli P ZERO CORSA tyres and a 570S GT4-style bonnet with specially constructed air intake. With the world premiere of the all-new 2019 Mercedes G-Class set for the Detroit Auto Show in January, the German automaker is giving us a Christmas treat. They have released a bunch of photos completely revealing the SUV’s interior design. And it’s a fine blend of old and new, incorporating the current design themes of Mercedes-Benz into the unique shape of the G-Wagen‘s upright dashboard.  To be honest an upgrade to the big G’s cabin was long overdue. They did give it a new steering or a fancy screen now and then, but the overhaul that comes with the 2019 Mercedes G-Class is a real improvement in terms of design and ergonomics. There is more space in the new cabin, more luxury and comfort features, and fewer sharp edges that could seriously hurt you in the event of an accident. The main highlights include a new dashboard, instrument panel and center console in line with other Mercedes products of this era, plus new steering wheel, infotainment screen and seats. The one chosen for the first 2019 Corvette ZR1 Convertible is Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation which supports wounded veterans through the Building for America’s Bravest program. Just a few weeks after the hardtop, Chevrolet unveiled the 2019 Corvette ZR1 Convertible at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show. The $124K drop-top supercar astonishes the L.A. crowd with its unashamedly brash looks and its colossal 755 horsepower output.  That makes the 2019 Corvette ZR1 Convertible one of the performance bargains of the century when it hits the market next year. Just out of the blue Mercedes-Benz decided to release the first official photos of the 2018 Mercedes A-Class after a preview event in Germany. These photos, mind, show only the interior of the new premium hatchback. But at least they reveal the interior in full. And it’s pretty cool.  Having a unified corporate look might such as Mercedes and all the other major automakers have does make the cars of a certain brand look pretty much identical.
