Ordered by McLaren Newport Beach, US market’s largest McLaren retailer, the 10 McLaren MSO X models have been delivered to their buyers in Las Vegas. Created by McLaren Special Operations unit to emulate the spirit of the 570S GT4 race car, the X bunch come with liveries inspired by McLaren F1 GTR race car of the 90s. Now, normally it would be really uncool to have your car painted in motorsport liveries if you don’t want to use it exclusively on the race track. But in the case of the McLaren MSO X that’s alright because of the prestigious badge of the car. Granted, you still have to explain to people what those graphics on the exterior mean and by which legendary endurance racer they are inspired. But the buyers of the X are going to get plenty of admiring nods from car geeks on the street. And so here is your 2018 ABT Audi RS3, presenting an upgrade package that fits both the Sportback (hatchback) and Sedan versions of the hot little Ingolstädter.  A single glance at the new ABT Audi RS3 is enough to know it scores very high on the sex appeal index. Sports cars like Porsche Cayman are not usually subjected to wide body treatments, or any other strictly visual modification for that matter. These are driver’s cars built for action and not showing off. Still, this Liberty Walk Porsche Cayman wide body here makes a good case for at least entertaining the idea. On this episode of Virtual Tuning we want to take a look at another one of Jon Sibal’s “quickie” renderings in which he imagines what a trendy car would look like if it was subjected to extreme visual modifications. The result of these musings this time is this rather frightening custom Acura NSX wide body. Earlier we showed you a matte black NSX and told you that it would be a good place to start modifying the new Japanese/American sports car. In that case Sibal’s custom Acura NSX represents the last stage of tuning in which you have not only modded the body to the very limit, but also upgraded the engine by adding, judging by those massive pipes sticking out the diffuser, a custom twin-turbo system complete with bespoke exhaust and everything.
