With the world premiere of the all-new 2019 Mercedes G-Class set for the Detroit Auto Show in January, the German automaker is giving us a Christmas treat. They have released a bunch of photos completely revealing the SUV’s interior design. And it’s a fine blend of old and new, incorporating the current design themes of Mercedes-Benz into the unique shape of the G-Wagen‘s upright dashboard.  To be honest an upgrade to the big G’s cabin was long overdue. They did give it a new steering or a fancy screen now and then, but the overhaul that comes with the 2019 Mercedes G-Class is a real improvement in terms of design and ergonomics. There is more space in the new cabin, more luxury and comfort features, and fewer sharp edges that could seriously hurt you in the event of an accident. The main highlights include a new dashboard, instrument panel and center console in line with other Mercedes products of this era, plus new steering wheel, infotainment screen and seats. The iconic features, such as the grab handle in front of the passenger or the chrome-highlighted switches for the differential locks have been preserved. Just out of the blue Mercedes-Benz decided to release the first official photos of the 2018 Mercedes A-Class after a preview event in Germany. These photos, mind, show only the interior of the new premium hatchback. But at least they reveal the interior in full. David Brown Automotive, the maker of Speedback GT which is a highly customized, bespoke version of the old Jaguar XK, has showcased three of the latest production models in the colors of the Union Jack for a special photoshoot. We reckon the hope here is to use patriotism as a sales man because after all this time Brown is only up to production numbers 003, 004 and 005. The special versions of the Mercedes G-Class, including G63 6×6, G65 AMG, and G500 4×4, are produced in very limited numbers. Even rarer than those are the tuned versions, like this Brabus Mercedes G500 4×4. That is why it is a big deal every time a new one is released into the wild. It gives us a chance to have a closer look at the thing and marvel at its awesomeness. What sets this particular Brabus Mercedes G500 4×4 apart from the other examples we have seen before is a number of exclusive details on the exterior, such as the powered running boards and the Brabus wheels, and an utterly unique interior. Granted, there isn’t much to get exited about in terms of styling with the Brabus Mercedes G500 4×4. Not that it’s dull or anything, but it looks pretty much the same as the standard car save a few more black details and a cool grille. That’s why this one right here rocks a one-of-a-kind interior. The interior design is what sets this Brabus Mercedes G500 4×4 apart from the run-of-the-mill models and makes it something worthy of closer inspection. The main highlight of this bad boy in side the cabin is a healthy dose of blue leather which covers the seats, dashboard, consoles, arm rests, door cards, transmission tunnel, steering wheel, pillars… pretty much every visible surface. The blue leather is then complemented with black stitching which has been used liberally to not only piece various bits together, but also give them a nice design pattes and show off the tuner’s logo wherever there was space for it. Adding to the drama of the design is a few select pieces of carbon fiber trim with big chunky weaves in keeping with the size of the car, and a set of Brabus steel pedals. We kind of made the body kit on this Brabus Mercedes G500 4×4 seem insignificant with the opening sentence of this post which is probably not fair. It is a fantastic treatment consisting of various carbon fiber elements, including front and rear spoiler, bonnet scoops, extra large wheel arches and roof panels, as well as a set of Monoblock wheels in black. Russian tuner TopCar is famous for the use of ultra-exotic material to gaish the interior of their cars, from whale penis to crocodile skin. The latest car to get one of these “special order” treatments is TopCar Mercedes GLE Infeo coupe and it’s got a red crocodile leather interior. While we totally condemn cruelty against animals – especially for the sake of a car interior so a rich Russian asshole can enjoy it – we have to admit, as far as car interiors go, this one right here is pretty damn dope. TopCar Mercedes GLE Coupe Infeo Red Crocodile blends crocodile leather inserts with regular hyde leather gaished with contrast stitching in diamond patte, and it looks sick. The leather upholstery is then complemented with Alcantara headliner and pillars and a healthy dose of light wooden trims on the dashboard, consoles and door panels as well as the steering wheel which gets a little bit of everything. You’d think that would be enough luxury details in one car, but TopCar has topped it all off by some red carbon fiber inlays which ado the wood trims. TopCar Mercedes GLE Infeo also comes with a wide body kit consisting of custom front and rear bumpers, side skirts and vents, wide front and rear fenders, rear diffuser and tailgate wing, plus optional carbon bonnet and grille and high-end brand name wheels. One of the cool things about the Nurburgring 24 Hour race is all the side action – the parties, barbecues, drinking sessions, and the exotic car meets that take place around the track. In one of these events this year something truly special tued up: a brown Bugatti Chiron. Now the reason that is a big deal is because the Chiron is still super hot news and spotting on out in the wild is the equivalent of seeing the Pope at McDonalds. What’s more, this one os harbinger of all the good things to come for this car on account of its special paint job. What this brown Bugatti Chiron tells us is that this model is going to get a lot more personalization and special editions than the Veyron. To be honest with you though, we don’t much like the look of the Chiron in brown. This design works best when it’s painted in a two-tone scheme. What’s worse, the brown clearly clashes with the brushed wheels and all those chrome trims on the car’s body. There is no denying that it’s unique and that the paint job certainly goes well with that interior. But it’s not very cool. Sorry! And in case you have forgotten, Bugatti Chiron comes with a 1,500 horsepower W16 quad-turbo engine. Official records are yet to be confirmed, but the Chiron is said to be capable of hitting 463 km/h (288 mph). Audi Exclusive, as I’m sure you know, is a department of the German car maker responsible for creating the one-offs and special editions, as well as customization and personalization. Their latest creation is this truly one-of-a-kind Zanzibar Brown Audi RS7. As with all ‘Exclusive’ models, what sets the Zanzibar Brown Audi RS7 apart above everything else is its unique metallic paint job. It is so metallic in fact, some may mistake it for a custom shade of gold. Either way, there is no getting away from the fact that it’s just too shiny and therefore too ostentatious. But it’s serves its purpose and does a beautiful job of making the car stand out. Zanzibar Brown Audi RS7 also gets the carbon visual package with carbon grille surrounds, mirror caps, rear diffuser, and Quattro lettering at the front, and it benefits form a set of 21-inch five-double-spoke design wheels in Anthracite Black. All this black and carbon stuff make a nice contrast with the goldish brown of the body panels and result in a posh and luxurious look. The super curvy shape of the RS7’s body also helps with that.
