The partnership between Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing is legendary. Every time AMG comes up with a new supercar the boat makers release a special model celebrating that car. And so now it is time for a speedboat version of the AMG Project One, and it’s called Cigarette Racing 515 Project ONE. Right now we only have a teaser drawing of this magnificent thing to drool over, but the wait is not going to be long since Cigarette Racing 515 Project ONE will be revealed next week at the Miami Boat Show (February 15, 2018). Judging by what we can see, the boat tries to replicate the unique look of the hypercar with a special paint work featuring a silver base and black accents. As the sea-faring equivalent of the Project one, is also going to be fast. Like, really fast. And just like the car, it is going to be the privilege of a select few to enjoy its looks and performance. It was not exactly a secret that an extra-hot version of the 488 was in the works deep inside Ferrari factory in Maranello, especially since Porsche released their GT2 RS last year. Now the first complete picture of this beast has leaked and we get our first look at the new 2019 Ferrari 488 GTO. And in case you are in a hurry to know, it has 700 horsepower.  Ferrari 488 GTO is the successor to the 360 Challenge Stradale, the 430 Scuderia, and the 458 Speciale. But this one is apparently so good, they went ahead and gave it the venerated GTO badge. The name has not yet been confirmed officially, but a lot people are calling it that. So it is almost certainly the official name. Now, those three letters hark back to what is possibly the most glorious part of Ferrari’s history and perhaps the entire automotive culture. So the new boy had better be damn good, or Ferrari will get some serious stick from their hard-core fans. But of course it is gong to be awesome in every way, this 488 GTO, because it’s a new Ferrari. We really did not think that something like the Maybach G650 Landaulet could possibly have a rival, but we were wrong. In our defense that is such a niche vehicle, no one would be inclined to invest in making such a thing… no one except the eccentric visionary Afzal Kahn, it tus out. He has just teased the Kahn Flying Huntsman 6×6 Soft Top which is a direct attempt at the Landaulet’s life.  On the face of it comparing a wonky Land Rover, which is what Kahn Flying Huntsman 6×6 Soft Top is based on, to the unique Mercedes G-Class, which is what the Maybach G650 is based on, seems idiotic. Of course the Mercedes is a superior product. But you see, the Hunstman is no ordinary Land Rover. It is a completely bespoke car, every part of which is improved and when necessary redesigned from scratch by Kahn artisans. Granted, it still may not be as spacious or as comfortable as the big G, but calling it just as classy and luxurious is not stretching the truth. There are obvious advantages with Kahn Flying Huntsman 6×6 Soft Top as well. For starters, it’s a 6×6 whereas the G650 has only, I mean only, four wheels. A new Ferrari GT is in town and it’s replacing the lovely Califoia. The new Ferrari Portofino is much more macho than the Cali, and more potent too. It packs a 600 hp Turbo V8 engine and a host of advanced electronics. There is also the all-important retractable hard top.
