Elon Musk’s fascination with Mars is legendary. The man is obsessed with conquering the red planet, and has even come up with a, theoretical, plan to nuke it, so that it might become more habitable for humans. That may be a bit too ambitious, but Elon can do other things to leave his mark on Mars. And apparently the mark he wants to leave there is his red Tesla Roadster.  The cherry red first-gen Tesla Roadster is space-bound inside one of Musk’s Falcon rockets – how cool is that? The guy has his own space rockets! – replacing the “concrete or steel blocks” usually used as simulated mass for test rockets. The car is going to be “on a billion year elliptic Mars orbit,” playing David Bowie’s Space Oddity all the way. That is, of course, if the rocket “doesn’t blow up on ascent.” This is a special occasion not just for space guys, but car guys as well. And yes, of course, it is also an achievement for humanity on the whole to have a man-made object in Mars’ orbit for practically eteity. The fact that it is extremely hard to improve an electric car has not stopped aftermarket specialists from trying. Here you see the Novitec Tesla Model S, a European take on the highly celebrated American EV, and it boasts a number of key upgrades that make the ownership experience of the car more satisfying.  On the styling front Novitec Tesla Model S is given a light treatment in form of some carbon fiber components that do more for the aerodynamics of the car than its looks. The package include front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser, plus a neat boot spoiler. Because they are made of naked carbon, they look their best on a white car. The aero parts are complemented with a set of a bespoke Vossen wheels made exclusively for the Tesla, measuring 9,0J x 21J with 245/35 R21 tires on the front and 10,5J x 21J with 265/35 R21 tires out back. With all the colors and special paint jobs and liveries Porsche offers these days straight from the factory, you would think no one would send their cars to the tuners anymore to get a new look. But this Matte Aluminum Porsche 991 GT3 RS shows the tuning gurus still have some tricks up their sleeves the car maker cannot manage. The Matte Aluminum Porsche 991 GT3 RS by Print Tech is hands down the coolest version of this car we have seen so far. There is just something about the cold grey, sort of gunmetal shade featured on this RS that is so damn cool. This is also a matte finish, which is an added bonus and serves to make the whole thing a lot more special. The color also goes really well with the darkened lights and the gloss black wheels, although if this was our car we’d probably swap the plastic aero parts and grille inserts with the carbon fiber package from Techart. If that Ivory White SLR Roadster we showed you yesterday wasn’t unique enough for you, or maybe you just didn’t dig the color, take a look at this one. This Royal Blue Brabus SLR Roadster is currently on sale at Alain Class Motors, and it is quite possibly the coolest looking McLaren Mercedes SLR in the world. Interestingly, the soft top on the Brabus SLR Roadster is the same shade of maroon as was featured on the Ivory White special edition. But this car has the edge over that model on account of it being a Brabus-tuned model, although the only clues as to this car’s uniqueness is a set of massive Brabus wheels, Brabus logos out back, and a Brabus plaque on the dashboard.
