McLaren Special Operations (MSO) is not just about making one-off hypercar for the ultra-rich.They are also in charge of coming up with cool options and accessories for the moderately wealthy who can’t afford anything better than a McLaren Super or Sports Series. The latest series of MSO Defined options cover the Sports models.  That includes 570S Coupe, Spider and 570GT which in this treatment get a number of really awesome features not available with the regular options list. The first item on the new MSO Defined is a Black Pack which replaces the standard-fit Dark Palladium grey components, including front splitter; front aero blades; side skirts and side air intakes; door inserts; rear diffuser; rear spoiler and rear bumper. The package also includes a Nano Black Exhaust Finisher which can be ordered along with the new Titanium SuperSports Exhaust. That exhaust system is another highlight of the MSO Defined package. Available for the 570S Coupe, 570GT and 570S Spider, the Titanium SuperSports Exhaus results in a crisper, sportier noise, and it is also 11lbs (5kg) lighter than the standard unit. The fourth generation of the popular Korean SUV Hyundai Santa Fe, which has a huge presence in pretty much every market in the world, will make its debut later this year at the Geneva Motor Show. The car maker has confirmed this, releasing a teaser image that shows the part of the silhouette of the new model.  While it is hard to infer anything worth noting from this image, we notice the shape of the head and tail lights have been modified. They seem to be slimmer and smarter than the current version, and brings to our mind at least the design of the latest generation Toyota RAV4. The current model is a bit too round and chubby to be honest and it is a welcome change if the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe is sharper and more angular. You will get five and later on a seven-seater version, and two and four-wheel-drive drivertrains. Detroit Motor Show this year sees the debut of the new 2019 Ford Ranger pickup truck. The favorite of mid-size truckers comes with upscale, handsome looks and a lot more tech features than before. What’s more, it is one of toughest vehicles in its class thanks to its “Built Ford Tough” construction.  Basically, what Built Ford Tough means is that the 2019 Ford Ranger is built to take some serious punishment. It features a rugged high-strength steel frame backbone and has been torture-tested alongside Ford F-150 trucks. The muscular and athletic body reflects the rough and tumble soul of this car. Along with its sister company Hyundai, Kia Motors is coming to CES 2018 with a futuristic, technologically-advanced concept model. This as yet unnamed EV concept is mostly about showcasing Kia’s advances in electric powertrains and autonomous driving, but it also appears to be have a rather interesting design.  The main highlights of the Las Vegas-bound Kia EV concept include a highly efficient battery-electric powertrain, never-seen-before human-machine interface (HMI) and an advanced new ‘motion graphic’ lighting system. What’s more, Kia will showcase ‘Beyond Autonomous Driving’ exhibit in which we lea about “outline the company’s plans for vehicle autonomy and mobility, supported by the introduction of upcoming autonomous drive technologies.” Yet another attraction of Kia’s display at CES is the three interactive, cockpit-style exhibits showcasing advanced driver assistance technologies, new user interface, and world’s first in-car 5G connection. “Virtual reality, self-driving cars, and full vehicle connectivity were all once considered technologies of the distant future. With the 2018 North American Inteational Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit only a couple of weeks away, Infiniti decided to tease us with the first official photo of their latest concept. The Infiniti Q Inspiration previews the firm’s new design language ad also their vision for a future model for the saloon segment.  The first thing that strikes a viewer upon seeing the Infiniti Q Inspiration Concept as a welcome new feature is the fact that the new form language is a lot less melt-y than before. You  probably remember Infiniti’s previous concepts and how every bit of them looked like they’d been exposed to vicious flames and then deep-freezed while melting. It was an odd, but fascinating look that made its way to some extent to production models. The new design is neater and cleaner and altogether less cluttered. We probably have Executive Design Director Karim Habib, formerly of BMW, to thank for the improvement. We have to see the Infiniti Q Inspiration Concept in full before making a real opinion of it, but we’re liking what we’ve seen of it so far. An intriguing teaser released by Acura announced the debut of an all-new version of their premium SUV at the Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS) next month. The 2019 Acura RDX, to be revealed in prototype form at the show, boasts expressive exterior design and a completely new interior.  In creating the new 2019 Acura RDX the company has utilized the recently developed concept of “Precision Crafted Performance” which you may heard before, about the NSX supercar. This tells us the new RDX SUV, the third-generation of the car, will have a cool and sporty look about it. It is said that the loudest thing you hear in a Rolls-Royce is the ticking of the bespoke clock. That ought to make it a perfect place to record music, apparently. That’s what they’ve been up to lately, lending a new 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom to British rapper Skepta to record a song in.  Not only does this latest publicity stunt put the quietness of the car in perspective, it also promotes what kind of clientele Rolls-Royce is after these days. Gone are the days when only the exceedingly refined aristocracy drove this make of automobile, or rather were driven in. These days the real money is in the hands of artists like Skepta, or rather these are the wealthy ones with an insatiable desire to blow their cash on fancy, shiny things. A week or so ago they delivered a fleet of the latest models to Real Madrid players. With no much build up Nissan revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show last night the all-new 2018 Nissan Kicks. this compact crossover will hit the U.S. market in June next year with a starting price of well under $19,000.
