That is the starting price for a 2017 Nissan Maxima S which comes as standard with NissanConnectSM with Navigation featuring Apple CarPlay system. There are four more trim levels of SV ($34,540), SL ($37,040), SR ($37,820), and Platinum ($39,990) for those who want more luxury. But all version of the new Maxima are powered by the same brilliant engine.

The 3.0 liter VQ-series V6 engine in the 2017 Nissan Maxima develops 300 horsepower and is mated to a performance-oriented Xtronic transmission. Rated at 30 mpg, this engine, combined with the Maxima’s four wheel independent suspension, delivers a nice blend of comfort, performance and economy that will definitely give this car’s Korean rivals, such as Hyundai Azera, a good run for their money.
