We Want a Ford GT Hyper Track Car!

There really isn’t a connection between Ford GT and 4th of July. But when car designer Jon Sibal searched recent memory for a car-related American achievement to mark the Independence Day with, Ford’s victory at Le Mans was the only thing that came to mind.

So he rendered a special version of the new Ford GT GTE which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year against an American flag backdrop, and it is quite awesome. The GT Sibal has penned here does look a lot like a mechanical bald eagle. All it needs now to become ‘Murica as f*ck is a pair of .50 Cal machine guns on each sides of that rear wing.

But to us this rendering has more implications than celebrating a historic event. You see, these days all big car makers have some sort of a hyper track car, and some of them are even making road-going versions of those track car. Don’t you think the new Ford GT deserves such a treatment after that remarkable victory?

And don’t you think this unique GT here has the ideal design for a such a car? This could be Ford’s street-legal hyper track machine… a sort of Ford GT GTR, if you will.
