The owner of Princess Cars of Abu Dhabi, Adel Marzouqi, is fond of collecting exotic cars. And I don’t mean different makes and brands. The man likes having a whole bunch of the same car. Time was Adel had three Ferrari Enzos at his showroom, other time four Carrera GTs. And recently he repeated that feat with three Porsche 918 Spyders.

One gets the idea Adel Marzouqi cares nothing for actually selling car, just to collect them at his high-end showroom and enjoy looking at them. But that is not entirely true. Princess Cars, along with Alain Class Motors, are among the top luxury car dealers in the United Arab Emirates. They make their money selling regular Ferraris and Lamborghinis and Porsches. Hyper cars are more of a hobby for them, which is why they might keep them at the shop for years before finally letting them go when the price has gone up five-fold.

So there you go. If you wanted to buy a Porsche 918 and they told you it’s sold out, you know it was guys like Adel who bought them in batches of three, thus denying you the chance. You can still buy the car from him, but you’re going to have to pay a whole lot more for it. After all, Adel would be more than happy to keep the hyper car on display at the shop. It’s not like he needs the money.
