Although we are not sure about the validity of the ideas that spawned the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6, there is no denying this concept was one of the stars of this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. What made this six-meter-long red barge so fascinating was the juxtaposition of an oldtimey design with up-to-the-minute underpinning.
In this video we get to have a closer look at the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 and also see some of its high-tech tricks:
Some of the most remarkable technical specs of Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 include its powertrain which features four compact permanent magnet synchronous electric motors for a total output of 750 horsepower. The four-wheel-drive arrangement of these motors give the car the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under four seconds and reach a top speed (electronically governed) of 250 km/h. It also has a range of over 500 kilometres according to the NEDC (over 200 miles according to EPA), and can deliver up to 100 km of driving range with just five minutes of quick charging.
