The story of the Mercedes AMG GT Cabrio, the convertible version of the AMG GT hardtop sports coupe, has been an intriguing one. Mercedes used to deny having any plans for a convertible AMG GT, and they sort of convinced us when they released the AMG GT R. But later one, when the first prototypes of the GT C were spotted out and about, it became clear they had given in to popular demand.
Actually, it was more Mercedes’ own love of convertible cars that compelled them to build the Mercedes AMG GT Cabrio . If you look at their range these days they have a convertible version of pretty much everything, from C to the S-Class. And that’s besides the full blooded convertibles like the SLC and SL. Hell, they might even chop the top of the Maybach pretty soon!
This rather uninformative teaser promises the imminent reveal of the Mercedes AMG GT Cabrio which, of course, will happen on the web prior to the car’s physical debut at the Paris Motor Show. Stay tuned.
