It’s been a while since German tuner Edo Competition worked on a super serious car. It is kind of their own fault because ten years ago, when they were at the top of their game, they set the bar so high with cars like Edo Maserati MC12 Corsa and Ferrari Enzo FXX that it’s not really possible achieving that level again.

I mean, short of acquiring a McLaren P1 GTR or a LaFerrari FXX K there are no way Edo can relive the glory of their golden era, and even if they do get themselves those cars, what are they going to do with them? Both of those machines are 1,000+ horsepower track monster already pushed to the very edge of excellence. That is why cars like Edo Maserati MC12 Corsa are so cherishable these days. They remind us all of a more optimistic period.

As for what made Edo Maserati MC12 Corsa such a legend, apart from the fact they took a racing car and tune it as if it were a family hatchback, it’s the kind of figures this car boasts. The Edo MC12 packs 755 horsepower instead of the standard 632, 740 Nm of torque instead of 650. The top speed is only slightly higher at 340 km/h, but the car gets exclusive forged wheels, adjustable Edo/KW suspension system, bespoke exhaust and braking systems, and of course it can be turned road-legal.
