SEMA Preview: Ford Fusion Sport

With the army of custom F-150s and Mustangs Ford is bringing to this year’s SEMA show, you would think they’ve forgotten about the not-so-exotic Ford Fusion Sport. Well, you’d be half right. They haven’t forgotten about it, but they have put together two rather lame packages for this car as a sort of last minute thing.

The first SEMA-bound custom Ford Fusion Sport is the Ballistic concept you see above, packing a JMS PedalMAX throttle enhancer as well as SCT Performance engine calibration and a MRT Performance axle-back exhaust so that its 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6 engine can make a lot more power than befits a unit its size. The Sport is also equipped with H&R Performance suspension and Rotora forged aluminium brake kit as well as Modulare Forged B33 20 inch wheels so that it won’t embarrass itself utilizing the newfound oomph. Visually the car features Webasto Kevlar front chin spoiler, side splitters, vented hood, and Ballistic White metallic custom paint.

The second and last Ford Fusion Sport built for 2016 SEMA show is the one you see below, called Legacy Innovations for the styling kit it boasts. It gets a BASF R-M series Legacy Bay Effect color to complement its skirt lips, carbon fiber hood and rear fascia, and BC coilover suspension, Baer brakes and 20 inch Forgestar bronze F14 rims to complement the performance of its 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, which is enhanced thought the use of MagnaFlow exhaust and K&N cold air kit. Inside the cabin this Fusion benefits from Katzkin seats and Kicker speakers.
