Mazda MX-5 Concepts Debut at SEMA

As the 2016 SEMA show opens its doors to visitors at Las Vegas convention center Mazda reveals the two MX5 concepts they promised will knock our socks off. One of them, the MX-5 Miata Speedster Evolution, we have seen before. We are more excited about the new Mazda MX-5 RF Kuro.

The Kuro is based on the new fastback version of the sports car and features a stealthy satin black finish as its main highlight. Basically a road-going MX-5 Global Cup race car, Mazda MX-5 RF Kuro also boasts adjustable suspension, Brembo dual-piston front brake calipers, OpenFlash Performance center exit exhaust, and 17 inch RAYS wheels. The car looks incredibly cool, as you can see in the gallery below.

As for the Mazda MX-5 Miata Speedster Evolution, it’s the Evo version of last year’s SEMA concept now shedding an additional 100 lbs compared to that already featherweight car. This one too gets the adjustable suspension from the MX-5 Global Cup racecar and BFGoodrich g-Force Rival R1 grooved racing slick tires, but the real party piece of the Evo is the Speedter design which suits the Miata rather well.
