2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport Pricing and Specs

There used to be a time when the name Hyundai Elantra was used as a sleeping pill since the thing was so dull, so boring, and so rubbish, the mere mention of it made you doze off. Things have changed though, and there is now a new and exciting version of this car called the Hyundai Elantra Sport.

Putting ‘Sport’ at the end of Elantra’s name takes guts because although the car has become much more advanced and kind of nice to look at, it is still a mid-range sedan designed for you average teacher or whatever. But 2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport puts its money where its mouth is. It comes with a distinctively sporty styling, a hot-ish engine, and sport-tuned suspension and brakes.

Hyundai claims the Elnatra Sport is a fun daily driver because it all the right ingredients. You have the coo looks with the front spoiler and rear diffuser, 18 inch wheels with grippy tires, rear multi-link independent suspension, larger front and rear stabilizer bars, higher spring and damper rates, upsized 12” front brake rotors, retuned steering and retuned final drive ratios. On top of all this there is the 201 horsepower 1.6L Turbo-GDI inline four cylinder engine. So yea, they might be onto something here.

Despite the looks and features and now performance, Hyundai Elantra Sport is still an eco-class car judging by the starting price, which is $21,650 with a manual and $22,750 with the 7-speed DCT transmission. The highlights of the interior include heated leather sport seats, red contrast stitching, a flat-bottomed leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather-wrapped shifter, and a black headliner. It all sounds like amazing value for money.
