Hyundai Motors is making more and more exciting models these days, and one of the most exciting ones to be launched this year is the Hyundai i30 N. This high-performance N-brand model will do to the hatchback segment what Genesis Coupe did back in 2010 to the affordable coupe market.
Well, actually, it probably won’t because Hyundai i30 N is a Euro model which may never be released in America, just as Genesis Coupe was deemed too unsophisticated for the European market. But anyway, the point is the N version of the i30 is going to be a serious performance machine. And don’t think for a second that would take away from the Hyundai-ness of this car. The video below showing the i30 N during winter testing in Sweden proves it is built with the utmost attention to quality and durability.
The job of testing the Hyundai i30 N on the frozen lakes of Arjeplog fell to Thierry Neuville, World Rally Championship driver of Hyundai Motorsport.
“So many people have been looking forward to this car, so it’s a pleasure for me to be testing it,” said Thierry Neuville. “The engineers have done a great job on the gearbox and the differential. There is good traction and good stability in the slippery testing conditions. And it’s very easy to handle. A normal driver should get a sensation similar to that of a racing car.”
