Official: 2018 Audi R8 Spyder V10 Plus

Complementing the new Audi R8‘s range is a top-of-the-line open-top model released just in time for summer. The 2018 Audi R8 Spyder V10 Plus is the most powerful series-production car from the German car maker with a 610 PS engine and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 3.3 seconds.

But performance is only one side of 2018 Audi R8 Spyder V10 Plus. The super car also comes with exclusive design package with special exterior colors such as this micrommata green you see here. There is also performance mode, R8 bucket seats, ceramic brake system and carbon components included as standard equipment, all of which set this model apart from pretty much every other R8 in the range. The roof arrangement, as with regular Spyders, is a cloth affair that can be opened or closed in 20 seconds, even while driving at up to 50 km/h (31.1 mph).

And as is often the case with Audi, a lot of the good stuff are optional, namely  extendible and retractable rear window, wind deflector, and this very color. Audi laser light with dynamic turn signals are also optional, but LEDs comes as standard, and does the carbon aero kit, consisting of front spoiler, sideblades, sill trims, diffuser, rear spoiler and convertible top compartment lid. Wheels-wise,19 inch rimsare stadnard, 20 inch optinal, and inside the cabin R8 performance steering wheel in leather with multifunction buttons and four control satellites, MMI navigation plus with MMI touch are standard, but Audi connect, Audi smartphone interface and Audi phone box with inductive charging and Bang & Olufsen Sound System are optional extras.

The drivetrain includes a seven-speed S tronic with lightning-quick shifting and quattro permanent all-wheel drive for fully variable distribution of drive torque, electro-hydraulic multi-plate clutch with electronic control and water cooling, rear axle with mechanical locking differential. Orders are now being accepted for the Audi R8 Spyder V10 plus, and the first cars will be delivered in late summer 2017. The base price in Germany is 207,500 euros.
