Jaguar F-Type SVR Launches Nurburgring Co-Pilot Program

Jaguar now has its own version of Nurburgring Taxi program with a new program called ‘Jaguar Co-Pilot Nordschleife’ in which they offer the experience of a flaying lap of the Green Hell from the passenger seat of their high performance models. And the model that launches this program in no other than the amazing Jaguar F-Type SVR.

As the name suggest, in the Co-Pilot program customers get to go round Nurburgring Nordschleife and enjoy a first-hand experience of what it’s like tackling the world’s most fearsome race track. And it’s a full-on experience, since they will be driven round by a professional driver and at full pace. Jaguar F-Type SVR, then, is the ideal car for this gig, seeing as it is the fastest production car the British company has ever built.

Boasting a 575 horsepower supercharged V8 engine and rear-wheel-drive, the F-Type SVR can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. It’s also got the chassis to negotiate the numerous tus and twists of the 12.94-mile (20.83km) Nordschleife circuit. You do have to wear a race suit and helmet plus HANS (Head and Neck Support) system though before embarking, but Jaguar records the experience for you with their on-board cameras.

Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations division has engineered the F-TYPE SVR to be lighter, faster and more powerful while still remaining a usable supercar every day. The Nordschleife is a fantastic circuit on which to experience all of the engineering enhancements my team has applied to the F-TYPE SVR.”
