Official: 2018 Subaru BRZ tS

We have been waiting for a more powerful Subaru BRZ for so long, we feel kind of silly to be honest. So we’re just not going to think about that anymore, and instead start appreciating the cosmetically and dynamically enhanced special editions Subaru keeps lobbing at us. And we have to admit the new 2018 Subaru BRZ tS does not take much effort to like. 

Where tS stands somehow for Tuned by STI, you would expect a rich list of cool extras and we’re glad to report Subaru BRZ tS does not disappoint. Let’s get straight to it and see what we have here. Right off the bat the handing is perfected with STI-tuned front and rear SACHS dampers and coil springs as well as flexible V-braces in the engine compartment. There is also standard Brembo brakes and 18-inch lightweight STI wheels with 215/40 R 18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. So while the grip is improved, we’re afraid some of that swell tail happiness might have been lost.

2018 Subaru BRZ tS will also satisfy those who want to show off on a budget, since it comes some really cool visual features such as TI rear carbon fiber spoiler (adjustable), front, rear and side underspoilers,  Cherry Blossom Red accent around the front grille and unique rear bumper cover, and a whole lot of tS badges. Inside, you get  black leather and Alcantara upholstery with contrasting red stitching and accents, red leather bolsters and the seatbacks embroidered with the tS logo, and cast black trims. Pricing has not been yet revealed.
