2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS Official Details, Specs, Pricing

So Porsche finally revealed the highly anticipated fastest 911 of all time today in form of 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS. It’s a 700 super GT with a factory price of $293,200 (which means it’s definitely a half a million dollar car out in the open market), but interestingly Porsche has mentioned no production limit for it. 

Still, there’s probably no more than 1,000 people in the world who would spend that kind of money on a 911, or want such ferocious turn of speed. The 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is capable of accelerating form 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h), and Porsche promises it is not that hard to drive, either, thanks to a racing chassis, rear axle steering and Ultra High Performance (UHP) tires.

2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is a lightweight car, relatively, tipping the scale 3,241 pounds (1,470) with a full tank of fuel. Still, there is an optional Weissach package which reduces weight by nearly 40 pounds, thanks to extensive use of naked carbon fiber (roof and anti-roll bars as well as the end links on both axles) and forged magnesium wheels. This package costs an extra $31,000. You can also opt for Chrono Package which adds a performance app for measuring lap times and such.

Other cool highlights of the 2018 GT2 RS include a two-tone interior with red and black leather and Alcantara, PSM stability manager with ESC OFF and ESC+TC OFF functions, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), and an exclusive titanium Porsche Design timepiece, one for each buyer.
