It has been only a few days since BMW revealed the new 2018 BMW M5 super sedan but already there is talk of tuning it. The first proposition comes from Manhart Racing who wants to give the car an extra 200 horsepower and 200 percent more attitude. We like! What they have in mind for Manhart BMW M5 MH5 800 is, as the name suggests, an 800 horsepower output to begin with. Of course, as we know B...

Next week Porsche will unveil a new version of its Cayee SUV. Traditionally, this is not something we would get excited about. After all, the new model will at best be just a little bit less ugly than its predecessor. But we have to say this sketch of2018 Porsche Cayee they have just released looks pretty intriguing. The sketch shows us the silhouette of2018 Porsche Cayee. It reveals a ...

This is just petrolhead heaven, isn’t it? What we have here is a Porsche 911 R and an equally hard-core but much better looking Aston Martin in form of the V12 Vantage S, and a guy like Chris Harris to toss them around the circuit, mostly sideways. If you like driving and all its little technical details, this video will be like Godfather II to you. Chris begins his comparison review of Porsche 911 R vs Aston V12 Vantage S by warming up his left leg at the gym because both these cars have a manual gearbox which is a rare thing these days. But driving stick is like riding a bicycle. You’ll never forget it. [embedded content] So what would be your choice if you were in the market for a hi...

It is known that despite his strong love of sophisticated European sports cars, Chris Harris also has a fondness for American muscle cars mainly because they are such horsepower bargains. Mustangs and Camaros and Corvettes, Harris has driven them all liked them, but what does he think of the wildest Yankee-mobile of them all, Dodge Viper ACR? You may remember this blue Dodge Viper ACR from the first episode of the new and failed Top Gear. Well, only now we get to see Chris’s take on it, and it’s a very short take sadly. But hey, you don’t need more than four minutes to decide if you like the ACR or not. [embedded content] Viper ACR Highlights: 8.4-liter V-10 overhead-valve engine Rated ...

It took a while, but Chris Harris’ review of the new, face-lifted Porsche 991 Turbo S is finally released. Chris filmed this a while back at Kaylami race track in South Africa, and it has now found an outlet on Top Gear, a venue which Chris seems to be taking over completely. At any rate, here’s the latest Turbo 911 and the verdict of one of the best car reviewers on the planet. Chris and Porsche 991 Turbo S are both great, but how awesome is Kayami? Even if you don’t find the car interesting and consider it old news, you should still watch the video if only just for the track. After getting traded from place to place like a baseball card, Chris Harris has finally settled at Top Gear website where he can continue do what does best, which is make boring car reviews fun and interesting. In one of this first reviews for the new employer Chris gets to grips with the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. And yes, he does throw it around a bit. The boy has lost none of his skills becoming a corporate beyotch! Well, looks like it is now Chris’s tu to get pounded with all those dislikes on YouTube. Of course, this being Chris, people are holding back to some extent. Still, some of the hate directed toward Top Gear is going to inevitably ricochet off and hit him. [embedded c...

It’s been a while since we last saw one of these awesome real world reviews from Harry’s Garage. Now though the petrolhead king is back sporting a beard and reviewing another classic SL-Class Mercedes-Benz. Harry loves these cars, and after the R129 he showed us a while back he now has a more popular R107 1971 Mercedes 350 SL and wants to tell us about it. This generation of the SL has one of the most iconic body shapes ever and one that seems to be aging really, really well. The lines and contours of this macho car have a nice whiff of vintage about it, but the whole thing still looks refreshingly mode. So let’s join Harry and see what owning a 1971 Mercedes 350 SL is like: [embedded c...

It was back in April when we first got wind of the feud between the two lead presenters of the New Top Gear, started by Chris Evans criticizing Matt LeBlanc’s conduct in a film he made in London with stunt driver Ken Block. Tus out Evans is being a jerk to everyone on the production team, and LeBlanc now wants him gone. According to the latest reports by British tabloids — I know, not the best of sources — LeBlanc has threatened to leave Top Gear unless Chris Evans gets fired. We suppose what the American means is that he won’t renew his contract for a second season, because all the filming has been done for the first season and all he has to do to get the rest of his salary is to toler...

No seriously, we’re expecting Mercedes-Benz to confirm the roadster version of the AMG GT before the new year. Prototypes of this car have already been sighted in Germany. What we want is for those prototypes to be the test mules of the Mercedes AMG GT R Roadster. But of course, the chances of that happening are close to nought. It takes Mercedes a long while to make up their mind about the roadster version of the regular GT — and even that has not yet been confirmed — so the idea of a Mercedes AMG GT R Roadster is just too outlandish to be anywhere on the horizon, at least for now. It doesn’t make much sense, either. The GT R is a hard-core, track-focused version of the AMG GT and havi...

Our favorite web-based car reviewer — now that Chris Harris has sold his soul to the BBC — Steve Sutcliffe has been driving around lately in the new Aston Martin Vantage GT8, trying to figure out why would anyone want to pay extra to get this hard-core version over the lovely V8S. His findings could help you make an informed decision if you are entertaining ideas about buying one of these. And if you don’t have £165,000 lying around, you can just enjoy the spanking of Aston Martin Vantage GT8 in the hands of old boy Steve: [embedded content] Basically a Vantage GTE race car for the streets, Aston Martin Vantage GT8 boasts a revised V8 engine with around 450 horsepower, mated to either a...
