Rendering: Aston Martin DB11 Shooting Brake

After the launch of the new Aston Martin DB11 we got bombarded with renderings of this car as an open-top Volante model. Now that the dust has settled on that one it’s time for rendering artists to explore other possible variants of this beauty, starting with an Aston Martin DB11 Shooting Brake.

The Shooting Brake frenzy, as you know, took off a couple of years ago and became so hot, anything and everything was reimagined as a SB. Then it subsided a little and found it’s true place as a classy and rather exclusive niche that would make sense only for certain models and body shapes. On the basis Aston Martin DB11 Shooting Brake is not really a logical proposition since the base for it is a two-seater sports car.

That said what we’re looking at here in this rendering looks rather good and we can’t find anything objectionable about the concept, either. Nothing’s wrong with having those glorious looks and some extra practicality thanks to a big rear boot and a large hatch. Of course, we’re going to have to see the rear-end design of this Aston Martin DB11 Shooting Brake before we can judge it with certainty. But on the whole, it seems like a promising idea.
