A few years ago, the Italian carmaker celebrated 50 years since the original Alfa Romeo Giulia was introduced, a car that went on an wrote history for the company based in Milan, Italy. There were so many great Alfa Romeo cars throughout the carmaker’s 100 year history that it’s hard to say the Giulia was the most important one, but one thing’s for sure, that it was and still is an iconic model and we were more than thrilled leaing that Alfa Romeo plans on reviving this year, as a replacement ...

Well, it seems that the supremacy of the smug Porsche Panamera Turbo, which has long been the fastest, wildest, most vicious sports sedan, is at an end as the newAlfa Romeo Giulia QV (Quadrifoglio Verde) kicks its Teutonic bottom around the Nurburgring. The Italian car set a lap time of 7:32s which is six seconds quicker than the Porsche. The Alfa Romeo Giulia QV setting the record was driven by the company’s ace test driver Fabio France and it was equipped with the ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, proving once again that the manual transmission is a thing of the past. For comparison, a manual QV set a record of 7:39. [embedded content] Via Motor1 Alfa Romeo Giulia QV Highlights: Engi...

You have to forgive us for ripping off old man Hemingway for the title of this post because in some ways the Alfa Romeo 8C in these photos reminds us of the character in The Old Man and the Sea. Just look at it sitting there staring the sea in the face, braving the cruelties of a world that no longer pays any attention to it. No, these days it is the young man, the carbon-thin Alfa 4C, that is the center of attention. Cars like Alfa Romeo 8C are there with the dinosaurs, what with their rubbish engineering, wasteful engines, and imprecise handling. No one cares anymore that the car looks like an angel fashioned from a single piece of ruby stone by a heavenly chisel. All right, maybe we’...

Of course, this being Chris, people are holding back to some extent. Still, some of the hate directed toward Top Gear is going to inevitably ricochet off and hit him. [embedded c...

Monterey Car Week and Pebble Beach Concourse are quite possibly the world’s most prestigious motoring events. It takes a lot to stand out in that crowd, and nigh on impossible to become a showstopper. But it appears this year’s the show has already been stopped by this, the stuing Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Spyder. As the name suggests, Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Spyder is an open-top version of the Alfa 8C-based Disco Volante which created quite a buzz when it was first introduced some years ago and even made Jeremy Clarkson go all soft and gooey when he drove it. The Spyder at Quail has a lovely baby blue finish with black carbon accents which accentuate the car’s exquisite line very nice...

Proceeding with German patience and steadfastness, G-Power keeps upgrading their range of high-powered known as Typhoon. The latest G-Power BMW X5M Typhoon features a carbon boet with “Venturi based ‘Dynamic Venting’ system” and new air intakes in the front aprons, plus wider front wheel arches, side sk...

The guys at Garage Italia Customs are among the most visionary, which is to say weird, tuners in the auto world. If you have been following their previous works like BMW i8 Futurism and Mazda MX-5 Levanto, you know they are not very fond of the ordinary. And their latest project, an Alfa Romeo 4C dressed in a “Great Wave” theme, attests to that. The Great Wave by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai is a 19th century woodwork art depicting a massive tsunami. What that has to do with the Alfa Romeo 4C we have no idea. But there is no denying applying that artwork to the body of the Italian sports car has resulted in something quite unique. As far as art cars go, GIC’s Great Wave 4C is up t...

So far everything we have shown you of the Alfa Romeo Giulia has been of the range-topping Quadrifoglio version with the 510 hp engine. That’s fair enough, you’ll agree, because that’s the version everybodywants. But what if you can’t afford a QV and still want a Giulia in your life? Well, then you have to settle for one of the lower trim grades, either the regular Giulia or the one called Super which is what we have we have here. This Alfa Romeo Giulia is the middle of the range variant with a 2.2 liter diesel engine that pumps out 180 horsepower. It doesn’t look as sexy as the QV, but if you need a bit of that Giulia action on a budget, this baby is your best bet. [embedded content] T...

After its debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show nobody really heard much about the wonderfully unique Mansory Ferrari 488 Siracusa 4XX. These amazing photos capture every little details of Mansory Ferrari 488 Siracusa and reminds us that although the car’s still pretty vulgar, especially in this color scheme, there is undeniable beauty and presence in that design. We are particularly taken by the rear-end of the car and that simply awesome FXX-inspired wing arrangement. Luckily the 4XX was pictured next to a stock 458, so you can co...

And now they’ve done it again by giving this Alfa Romeo 4C an interesting two-tone look. The coolest thing about this wrap is the simplicity of the job in spite of the profound effect it has on the way the car looks. The base was a white Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition which meant it already came with stuff like carbon mirrors, gunmetal wheels, and colored aero parts. So instead of wrapping the whole thing iW went for a partial wrap, covering the hood and roof in Satin Black and gaishing it...
